Job summary

Criterion Systems LLC is seeking a mission-focused Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III to support a government customer in Springfield, Virginia. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and responsibilities spanning system evaluation, cyber threat analysis, and design reviews.

You'll work with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with information assurance standards and produce assessment papers for senior government officials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provides feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems throughout their life cycle.
  • Conducts research and evaluates performance of software products and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with information assurance and cyber security standards via formal verification.
  • Verifies/validates systems with emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare techniques.
  • Produces assessments and cyber threat profiles based on testing and analysis.

Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance

Criterion Systems LLC is seeking a mission-focused Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III to support and contribute to our government customer's success in Springfield, Virginia.

Compensation & Benefits:

$150,000-$155,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III Responsibilities Include:
  • Provides feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
  • Conducts research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems.
  • Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.
  • Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
  • Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
  • Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements.
  • Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements.
  • Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.
  • Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • High School Diploma and minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
    • Associates Degree and minimum of eight (8) years of related experience
    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of six (6) years of related experience
    • Master's Degree and minimum of four (4) years of experience
  • Ability to develop new concepts and processes.
  • Ability to analyze root causes and resolve issues.
  • Ability to support junior level technicians and specialists in their activities.
  • Ability to perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
  • Ability to work individually, actively participate on integrated teams, and lead a task, project or team.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
