Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking engineers for the RAPP ADC team to design, operate, and automate large-scale cloud services for U.S. Government agencies.

You will focus on Route 53 and Perimeter Protection, balancing availability with resilience and security. Responsibilities include building automated solutions, diagnosing systemic issues, and delivering initiatives with a strong culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software development or related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of designing or architecting distributed systems (reliability and scaling).
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, OS).
• Experience programming in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Route 53 and Perimeter Protection services offer customers a 100% uptime SLA through software deployment and automation.
• Develop and operate scalable, automated solutions using infrastructure as code and operator tools.
• Investigate operational concerns, troubleshoot complex failures, and escalate as needed.
• Take defined projects, break down work, define milestones, and deliver results.
