Job summary

Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer for Region Reliability Engineering in Bellevue, WA. You will help design and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure for government-related workloads, emphasizing reliability, security, and performance.

The role requires strong engineering ownership, collaboration across teams, and experience with modern programming languages. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, plus a track record of leading architecture and incident response efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
