Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Linux/Cloud System Administrator to support federal government customers in Maryland. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Responsibilities include remote Linux administration, Docker/Kubernetes management, and Hadoop cluster provisioning and monitoring.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in CS (or equivalent) and relevant cloud tooling experience. We offer a strong benefits package, generous PTO, and mobility across Wyetech-supported contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional experience on projects with similar requirements may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Hadoop/Cloud System Administration Certification with five (5) years of experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters (>200 nodes).
• TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph clearance is required.
• Experience with Linux and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic Linux tasks including SSH to remotely connect to a Linux machine, install software (RPM, YUM).
• Understand Docker, Kubernetes and Traefik; gather status from Linux machines.
• Maintain and monitor large Hadoop clusters and cloud systems.
