Job summary
Wyetech, LLC is seeking an Application Engineer 4 in Linthicum Heights, Maryland for on-site work with federal government customers. You will design software tools and subsystems, manage development, implement security compliance, and support Linux VMs and containerized workloads across OpenStack, AWS, and VMware platforms.
The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, 12+ years’ experience at various education levels, strong Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, and Ansible skills, and collaboration
Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
- All experience and education in a technical field related to the labor category.
- Twelve (12) years minimum experience with High School Diploma/GED; ten (10) with Associate's Degree; eight (8) with Bachelor's; six (6) with Master's; four (4) with Doctorate.
- Troubleshooting experience with VM and application logs and root-cause analysis.
- Strong Linux skills (RHEL 8/9), Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Ansible, and cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware, AWS).
- Security hardening (STIG/SSP) and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage production Linux VMs and Kubernetes clusters across multiple hosting platforms.
- Maintain Ansible playbooks and push changes via Rancher or Kubernetes commands.
- Troubleshoot VM, container, and application issues; analyze logs and performance.
- Support NiFi deployments and data flows; ensure security and compliance.
- Collaborate with development teams and end users to deliver operational support.
- Handle containerized workloads and certificate lifecycle across environments.
