Job summary

Inferno Systems Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Expert Level Network Security Engineer to support covert networks. You will blend network defense and offensive techniques, assisting penetration testers with vulnerability analysis of edge devices and secure our customers' networks.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in network engineering or cyber security, familiarity with Kali tools, and scripting knowledge. TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly is required, and current clearance status is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux environments (CentOS/Ubuntu/Kali).
• Experience configuring small business or home network devices (SOHO).
• Comfort with command-line tools and remote access (SSH, bash).
• Experience monitoring network activity and traffic analysis (Wireshark/tcpdump).
• Solid understanding of information security practices and virtualization (vSphere).

Responsibilities

• Assist penetration testers with analysis of edge networks and vulnerability assessment.
• Apply offensive and defensive networking skills to secure customer networks.
• Develop integrated network solutions using Linux and standard network appliances.
