Job summary

Probity is seeking a Network Engineer in Warrenton, VA to design, implement, and maintain complex IP networks (LAN/WAN) with a focus on routing, switching, and security, including Cisco ACI architecture.

The role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 10+ years of hands‑on networking experience; you will collaborate across teams and participate in 24x7 on‑call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience with architecting and designing IP networks and associated technologies

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain network equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
• Design network architectures based on customer requirements and industry best practices
• Development of unique solutions that will meet customer requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate effectively with other IT disciplines (e.g., Storage, Platform, Application) to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
• Develop and maintain configurations plans for Cisco ACI design, planning, implementation, and testing, based on a multi data center configurations
• Create architectural design solutions and successfully present them to client stakeholders
• Work with infrastructure engineers to identify new products and solutions
• Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
• Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance
• Communications with customers: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying of impending changes, or coordinated outages
• Be available for other engineers and coach them to resolution
• Participate in 24x7 on call and assist in resolving issues outside normal business hours
