Job summary

EMCOR Government Services has an opening for a Trades Journeyman Electrician in McLean, Virginia. The Electrician performs general electrical maintenance and repair tasks plus minor construction in office and data center environments under a union contract.

The schedule is Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm. Qualified candidates will hold a valid Journeyman Electrical license (MD, DC or Virginia), 3-5 years of related experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Journeyman Electrical license (MD, DC or VA).
• 3–5 years of electrical support in office/building or data center environments; vehicle/service truck experience acceptable.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical maintenance and repair tasks and minor construction in diverse buildings.
• Operate, maintain and repair electrical systems, components and parts.
• Respond to emergencies and overtime as directed.
• Assist engineers and HVAC mechanics with systems and PM testing.
• Maintain safe, neat electrical spaces and follow company policies.
