MAXAR TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is seeking a Senior Geospatial Data Scientist to join our team in McLean, VA. The role focuses on data-driven geospatial analysis, Python automation, and cloud-based workflows at a cleared, on-site capacity.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI clearance, a strong background in Python geospatial workflows, and experience with ArcGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and AWS. This position offers a challenging mission with opportunities to deliver actionable insights for national security

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Security Clearance TS/SCI with polygraph.
• 3+ years of relevant geospatial data science experience with Python.
• Experience with geospatial data in ArcGIS and cloud services (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Use Python scripting and AWS services to automate geospatial data ingestion, transformation, and analysis
• Apply geospatial data science techniques to identify patterns, trends, and mission-relevant insights
• Create maps, visualizations, and analytic products for technical and non-technical audiences
• Maintain high-quality, repeatable data workflows, ensuring data integrity, documentation, and performance
