Job summary

Bering Straits Professional Services seeks a Building Manager for Wahiawa, Hawaii. You will oversee O&M structures, plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical and EMCS shops, provide direction to staff, and coordinate with other Facility Managers and the Project Manager to plan work.

The position requires 10+ years in facility management, OSHA 30, UST C operator, CPR/First Aid, FMP, US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with poly. Pre‑employment drug screen and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years facility management leadership experience.
• OSHA 30 general industry certification.
• UST C operator certification.
• Heart saver First Aid/ CPR/AED certification.
• Facility Management Professional (FMP).
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active TS/SCI clearance w/ poly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee O&M Structural, Plumbing, Fabrication, HVAC/R, Electrical and EMCS Shops and other functional areas.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to subordinates.
• Reallocate resources to respond to emergencies.
• Act as technical advisor for assigned functional areas.
• Review maintenance plans, work orders, and repair activities for completeness and quality.
• Establish standards, enforce industry standards, and set priorities.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans, specs, policies, and standards.
• Provide space, tools, test equipment, and materials.
• Implement methods to accomplish tasks.
• Support Safety Plan through training and adherence to safety requirements.
• Ensure accurate time records and job order numbers.
• Perform other related duties and supervise assigned personnel.
• Work with other Facility Managers and Project Manager to outline work and then work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC/electrical controls and automated systems.
• Knowledge of CMMS/ IBM Maximo to track work orders.
