Job summary

Leidos is seeking a dedicated Custodian to ensure a clean, safe environment within the facility in Sacramento. The role covers routine cleaning of restrooms, floors, surfaces, windows, and trash disposal, with support for setup and cleanup of meetings and events.

The position runs Monday through Friday, offering modest scope for safety-focused maintenance tasks and collaboration with vendors and contractors. Prior facilities experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required prior to starting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of facilities management, operations, or related field.
• Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in assigned areas.
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings and special events.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning supplies and equipment properly.
• Ensure all assigned areas are maintained to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
