Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure critical DoD networks. You will apply expertise in routing, switching, VPNs, and encryption gear to support national defense missions.

You will analyze infrastructures, develop topologies, and runbooks while maintaining high availability and security. A TS/SCI clearance is required; onsite work in Fayetteville, NC may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience developing and maintaining network documentation, including topologies, configurations, procedures, and runbooks.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP stack, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).
• Ability to manage and optimize network monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify issues.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues across LAN/WAN.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 60 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues impacting data flow and security.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, topologies, configurations, and runbooks.
• Analyze and optimize network performance across LAN and WAN environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to DoD security policies.
