Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Network Lab Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain DoD network infrastructure. You will work on Layer 2/3 switching, routing, firewalling, and security hardening, with emphasis on encryption, IP engineering, and cloud migration.

You will apply expertise in STIG compliance, risk assessments, and Authority to Operate artifacts, while collaborating with ISSOs to sustain lab authorization. A Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining Layer 2/3 switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Cat-6 and optical fiber cabling.
  • Experience with virtual networking constructs and SDN overlays.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments and vulnerability trends reporting.
  • Experience with DoD STIG compliance audits and ATO artifacts.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop network architectures for mission-critical DoD systems.
  • Upgrade, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise infrastructure to improve reliability and availability.
  • Analyze current networks and optimize performance and security.
  • Coordinate with ISSOs and lab leads to maintain compliance and lab readiness.
  • Provide technical documentation and support procurement and operations.
