Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a senior Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph clearance. You will lead the development of machine learning and analytical solutions for national security datasets and provide data-driven insights to customers.

You will work with SMEs to translate complex data into automated analytics, prototype production-ready algorithms, and guide a team across multiple analytic efforts. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in two or more analytics areas.
• Experience with R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
• Master's or Doctoral substitutions can adjust experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML, data mining, and statistical algorithms for datasets.
• Prototype algorithms and select final model based on performance.
• Build models or experiments when data unavailable and generate reports.
• Create visualizations to summarize data insights for customers.
• Translate SME input into feature vectors for analytics development.
• Collaborate with SMEs to integrate analytics into production workflows.
• Lead analytics to scale to large datasets and production systems.
• Guide a team of data scientists in multiple analytic efforts.
• Define analytic requirements with customers and ensure feasibility.
