Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Manager, Cyber Intelligence (ISSM) to lead cybersecurity operations for highly classified programs. The ISSM will translate complex security requirements into mission-driven solutions while ensuring compliance with government regulations and security frameworks.

You will manage a team of ISSOs, oversee continuous monitoring, risk management, and ATO processes, and collaborate with government customers, engineers, and IT stakeholders to maintain a strong security

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years related experience, OR Master's with 7+ years, OR 13+ years in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8140 qualifying certification (CISSP, Security+, GSLC, or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 3 months of start.
  • Experience as an ISSM supporting classified environments.
  • Strong knowledge of JSIG, NISPOM Chapter 8, ICD 503, and/or NIST 800-53 frameworks.
  • Experience leading cybersecurity teams and managing ISSOs.
  • Experience with Continuous Monitoring, security control assessments, and ATO processes.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cybersecurity projects, risks, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Willingness to undergo a Full Scope Polygraph investigation (Active Full Scope Polygraph).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Rapid7.
  • Experience reviewing security logs through Splunk or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, DLP, and UBA tools.
  • Experience supporting multiple government security accreditation frameworks.
  • Experience developing and managing POA&Ms.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong mentoring and team development experience.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus across technical and program teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ISSM and ISSO teams overseeing continuous monitoring and risk management.
  • Coordinate assessment and authorization efforts for classified environments.
  • Communicate system security posture to program leadership and government customers.
  • Drive process improvements to improve security posture and operational effectiveness.

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Manager, Cyber Intelligence (ISSM) to lead cybersecurity operations supporting highly classified programs and mission-critical systems. This individual will serve as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), responsible for translating complex security requirements into mission-focused and business-driven solutions while ensuring compliance with government regulations and security frameworks.


The ISSM will lead a team of Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), overseeing continuous monitoring activities, security control assessments, risk management efforts, and overall cybersecurity program execution. This individual will provide mentorship, task prioritization, and career development guidance to team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.


This role requires extensive interaction with program leadership, government customers, engineering teams, and IT stakeholders to communicate system security posture, support authorization activities, manage cybersecurity risks, and advocate for risk-based security decisions. The ISSM will also work closely with Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) to support implementation and maintenance of security controls across classified environments.


Key responsibilities include managing cybersecurity projects and deliverables throughout the system lifecycle, overseeing continuous monitoring plans, coordinating assessment and authorization efforts, ensuring systems are monitored for anomalous activity, managing security incidents and spillage response processes, and driving process improvements that enhance overall security posture and operational effectiveness.


The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, technical cybersecurity, and program management skills, with experience supporting classified systems under government cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.
