Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking a Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy operational system with a microservices-based architecture. You will write Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, enhance data filtering through REST services, and optimize AWS infrastructure with Python.

The role requires active TS/SCI with full-scope poly and US citizenship, with potential remote work options. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience or an advanced degree and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 11 years or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years may be considered for deep domain experience.
• Degree can be waived for technical experience in applicable skillsets.

Responsibilities

• Write Java Spring Boot microservice applications using AWS native technologies.
• Use Python to optimize AWS services like Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3.
• Build REST services with Spring to filter and select complex data objects.
• Implement CI/CD using Maven, GitLab and GitOps.
• Participate in Agile software development and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
