Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a highly skilled Software Engineer - Technical Lead to guide a new mission area on-site at Patrick Space Force Base in Melbourne, FL. Responsibilities include API support, cloud deployments in AWS, and end-to-end system design with a focus on secure, scalable solutions. On-site work, DoD context, and field adaptability are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support for customer API user group, resolving customer issues.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Integrate cloud-native services, databases, and application components across distributed environments.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deliver technical briefings and roadmaps to stakeholders.
