Jobot is seeking an experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to join a well-respected firm in New York. This role focuses on estate planning, probate matters, and fiduciary administration for a diverse client base, delivering thoughtful guidance and durable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in trusts and estates, strong drafting skills, and the ability to coordinate with accountants and financial professionals in a permanent, client-focused environment with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active admission in good standing to the applicable state bar.
• 5+ years of trusts and estates experience including probate and fiduciary matters.
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently with empathy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning, probate, trusts, and fiduciary duties.
• Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
• Manage estate and trust administration, including asset identification and court filings.
• Represent executors, trustees, and beneficiaries in probate and fiduciary matters.
• Counsel fiduciaries on duties, risk management, and compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and appraisers to support client solutions.
• Stay current on changes in trusts, estates, probate law, and fiduciary practice.
• Maintain accurate matter records and meet deadlines with clear client communication.
