Qualifications

• J.D. required; LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required.
• Pennsylvania Bar admission.
• 3–5 years of experience in trusts and estates or related tax planning.
• Working knowledge of federal estate, gift, and income tax principles.
• Experience drafting estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney.
• Strong analytical, drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage assignments independently while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Assist in advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and trust and estate administration.
• Draft and revise a variety of estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related agreements.
• Support business succession planning and estate planning for closely held business owners.
• Analyze estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues and assist in implementing tax-efficient planning strategies.
• Collaborate with corporate and transactional attorneys on matters involving business ownership, restructuring, and liquidity events.
• Work closely with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to implement planning recommendations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda regarding trusts, estates, and tax matters.
• Assist with estate and trust administration matters, including fiduciary guidance and beneficiary communications.
