Qualifications

• 3-5 years mortgage loan origination experience in a bank setting with a strong emphasis on front line customer service.
• Extensive knowledge and background in real estate laws/regulations and secondary market guidelines.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Continually identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships for referrals of mortgage lending opportunities.
• Originate quality residential mortgage loans and grow loan portfolio while maintaining past due loans.
• Provide excellent customer service, promptly return calls and follow up on questions.
• Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial data, determine financing objectives and advise on products.
• Streamline the application process and improve efficiencies using available technology.
• Build relationships with Realtors and Builders to develop referrals.
• Participate in community organizations and events to network for referrals.
• Assist in mortgage loan coordinator supervision and training.
• Attend compliance trainings and lending staff meetings.
