Job summary

Texas Regional Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate conventional residential and FHA/VA loans. Build deep relationships in the community and work with organizations to promote homeownership.

You will manage the loan process from application to closing, counseling buyers, gathering documentation, and ensuring compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA rules. Strong client service is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of residential real estate experience.
• NMLS license or in the process of obtaining one.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and request information for mortgage loan applications.
• Serve as primary contact from application to closing; coordinate with all parties.
• Counsel and pre-qualify potential home buyers; complete applications.
• Obtain documents and fees in compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA and regulations.
• Monitor loan status and assist in the loan process and approval.
• Develop internal relationships to create cross-sell opportunities.
