Elderhaus in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated Custodian to keep hallways, rooms, and common areas clean and orderly. You will perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash disposal, and restroom sanitation while following safety procedures to protect residents and staff.

The role requires reading basic documents, basic math for inventory, and the ability to work independently. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required, and you will join a team that values reliability, attention

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic documents and instructions.
• Basic math skills for counting and supplies.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties and reach with arms.
• Knowledge of safety rules and janitorial procedures.
• Custodian experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed to maintain hygiene standards.
• Follow safety rules and procedures to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Read and interpret work orders, schedules, and safety instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Use physical skills such as balancing, reaching with hands and arms, and repetitive motions to perform cleaning duties effectively.
