Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA is hiring a Software Development Manager for the Devices & Services Trust CX Innovations team to lead multiple engineering groups building privacy‑preserving and trusted AI experiences across consumer devices.

You will partner with Product, Design, Legal, Policy, and Research to set the technical strategy for on‑device and cloud architectures, governance, and responsible AI, balancing performance with customer trust.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service‑oriented architecture
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Responsibilities

• Drive privacy-preserving AI strategy and on-device architectures.
• Lead teams building evaluation frameworks for safety and bias.
• Establish governance and guardrails for AI in consumer apps.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to set technical roadmaps.
• Scale trust across the device ecosystem.
