Job summary

Mercer Advisors in Houston is seeking a Trust Operations Coordinator to provide internal and administrative support for the Trust Operations team. This role assists with processing and monitoring Wealth Management Team requests, maintaining client documents, and ensuring accurate money movement and pricing.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines while supporting leadership and team back‑ups.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal and administrative support for the Trust Operations team.
  • Process and monitor WMT related requests and research for clients.
  • Set up and process receipts and disbursements; maintain pricing.
  • Prepare operational reports and perform quality control reviews and reconciliations.
  • Document key processes and liaise between WMT and Corporate Trustee partners.
  • Assist with client tax reporting and coordination with tax vendor.
  • Serve as quality control to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Cross train to serve as back‑up to other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Our Trust Operations Team provides a high level of service and support to our Wealth Management Teams (WMT). The Trust Operations Team also acts as liaison between the WMT and any Corporate Trustee business partner to ensure multi‑transactional and money movement requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Responsibilities include processing and monitoring WMTs related requests and research for internal and external clients, accurately setting up and processing receipts and disbursements, requesting new unique asset paperwork and maintaining pricing, preparing operational reports and performing quality control reviews and reconciliations.

The Trust Operations Coordinator will provide internal and administrative support for the Trust Operations team. This role requires flexibility, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to help the team succeed. They will investigate and resolve questions regarding all aspects related to daily operational responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions for the Trust Coordinator
  • Assisting with leading administrative tasks related to Trust Services including maintaining client documents and assisting staff with workflow.
  • Working closely with leadership to ensure timely correspondence with internal teams and clients.
  • Liaison between the WMT and any Corporate Trustee business partner by providing advanced knowledge of best practice operations.
  • Working collaboratively to document key processes.
  • Assisting with client tax reporting working with Corporate Trustee tax reporting vendor with coordinating tracking and delivery of all tax documents.
  • Serving as quality control point to ensure that all calls, transactions, maintenance changes, policy and procedures for customer requests have been adhered to in accordance with compliance requirements and Trust Operations Internal Guidelines.
  • Reviewing and maintaining unique asset pricing.
  • Establishing and maintaining internal procedures and service standards related to Trust Operations identifying and implementing the most efficient workflow.
  • Cross training to serve as back‑up to other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Working Conditions

Professional hybrid office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Base Pay Range

$22 – $25 USD
