We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded Trust & Estate Associate to join our thriving legal team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in trust and estate planning, tax law, and estate administration. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their skills to service our clients and shape the firms overall growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on trust and estate matters to ensure our clients' assets are managed and protected effectively.
• Draft, review, and interpret estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Administer complex estates, including the preparation of estate tax returns, and oversee the distribution of assets.
• Collaborate with tax professionals to develop tax-efficient estate plans and strategize on complex tax issues.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on current laws and regulations related to trust and estate law and tax law.
• Represent clients in probate court and handle probate litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida, NY is a huge plus!
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate law, estate administration, and tax law.
• Proficiency in drafting and interpreting complex legal documents.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Exceptional communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in an understandable manner.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must possess the highest level of work ethics and integrity.
