Job summary

UKG is seeking a Trust Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of client trust funds through daily reconciliation, cash management, account analysis, and financial reporting. This role collaborates with cross-functional partners to maintain records, resolve variances, and support regulatory and audit requirements.

Duties include daily reconciliations, GL analysis, journal entries, and year-end closes, plus SOX/compliance support and opportunities to automate processes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting and treasury experience.
• Strong account reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
• Must be onsite 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure transactions clear correctly.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
• Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions, uncleared items, and outstanding checks.
• Prepare and review journal entries and month-end activities.
• Track and validate customer and trust account balances to ensure funds are accurately recorded.
• Support audit requests, SOX/internal controls, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain process documentation and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances or out-of-balance conditions.

About the Role

This role works closely with cross-functional partners to maintain accurate financial records, resolve variances, and support regulatory and audit requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances or out-of-balance conditions.
• Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions, uncleared items, and outstanding checks.
• Prepare and review journal entries and month-end accounting activities.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting and treasury functions.
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong account reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Must be able to work onsite at least 3 days/week at a UKG office location.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of Tax / Payroll / Accounting / Banking or Customer Service experience.
• Strong project management skills including superior organization, planning, and follow through.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in Excel.
• B.A Degree or equivalent work experience.

The pay range for this position is $56,800 to $81,650. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
