Job summary

Automation Personnel Services in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Truss Production Associate to join a fast-paced, safety-focused manufacturing team producing wood truss components.

You will read drawings, measure, assemble components, operate hand tools, and help maintain quality and a clean work area. Full-time, temp-to-perm with Monday–Friday schedule and $19.00 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or carpentry preferred but not required.
• Ability to read tape measures and follow basic engineered drawings, layouts, and work instructions.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and production equipment.

Truss Production Associate

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Truss Production Associate for a company based in Fredericksburg, VA. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on manufacturing experience while helping produce high-quality wood truss components in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on safety, accuracy, and dependable production.

Pay Rate

$19.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30pm.

Truss Production Associate’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the layout, assembly, and production of wood truss components according to work orders and specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely to measure, position, fasten, and assemble materials.
• Read production drawings, measurements, and instructions to ensure components are built accurately.
• Inspect materials and completed assemblies for quality, proper alignment, and defects.
• Move, stack, and organize lumber and finished components while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines.

Truss Production Associate’s Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, construction, carpentry, framing, or assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read tape measures and follow basic engineered drawings, layouts, and work instructions.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and production goals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds.
