Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Truss Builder for a contract-to-hire role in Brandon, SD. You will build floor and wall trusses in a modern indoor plant, using basic hand and power tools, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with voluntary overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. This onsite position offers comprehensive benefits and long-term employment potential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in carpentry or construction, with wall framing experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, including hammers and tape measures, accurately and safely.
  • Comfort using power tools in a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • Capability to read and interpret measurements and follow instructions for assembly.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and quality assembly.
  • Reliability and willingness to work mandatory scheduled hours.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new indoor truss plant facility in Brandon, SD. The environment is production-focused, with significant standing and walking throughout the shift and repetitive assembly tasks. Standard hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and these hours are mandatory. Additional hours may be available on Fridays and Saturdays on a voluntary basis. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools in a structured, safety-conscious setting, and you can expect a consistent, hands-on, construction-style work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brandon, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $21.00/hr.
