Clayton Homes (New) is seeking a dedicated Truss Builder to construct roof trusses at our Guin, AL facility. You will read cut sheets and blueprints, assemble components, and ensure specifications meet NTA standards.

• Build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.
• Read cut sheets and blueprints to meet NTA standards.
• Verify jig, cord, parts and nails per blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post.
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality.
• Lift over 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Operate a hydraulic press.
• Work well with a partner.

As a member of our team you'll enjoy excellent benefits, opportunities for growth, and an encouraging culture that supports work / life balance.Responsibilities of Truss Builder:· Truss Builder’s primary responsibility is to build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.· Builder must be able to read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards regulated by the NTA.· Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.· Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.· Be able to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.· Be able to repeatedly lift over 50 pounds.· Be able to operate a hydraulic press.· Be able to work well with a partner.· Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic.
