Job summary

Contech is seeking a Steel Truss Bridge Design Engineer to join our team and design, analyze, and support fabrication of pedestrian and vehicular bridges for national clients.

You will collaborate with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, and external consultants while developing engineering solutions for short to medium span projects. A PE is preferred, with 6–10 years of structural design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with structural emphasis; PE preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of reviewing and sealing work as a Professional Engineer.
• 6–10 years of experience in structural steel or bridge design.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, finite element analysis, or structural analysis software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong team and client relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customized project-specific design services for Contech bridge products, producing drawings and calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of bridge elements including superstructures, foundations, and walls.
• Collaborate with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, sales/marketing, and outside engineers to specify and design products.
• Provide technical support to Operations/Manufacturing for proper fabrication.
• Coordinate with field sales and manufacturing to address design, manufacturing, and installation questions; advise sales/marketing and external consultants.
