Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking builders in Stephenson, Virginia to efficiently assemble and manually plate individual trusses according to blueprints. This entry-level position offers robust training, semi-annual and yearly increases, along with potential monthly bonuses. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods. Experience in carpentry or assembly is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in their primary language.
• Ability to stand for long periods during work.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand set-up sheets provided by the supervisor.
• Position metal plates that sustain the roof and floor trusses.
• Insert metal plates on wood pieces.
• Verify lumber accuracy with sheets.
• Mark individual trusses when required.
• Train new associates.
