Job summary

Mead Lumber’s Truss Craft Kansas division in Hays, KS is seeking an Assembler to safely assemble wood and metal components according to design measurements and specifications. You will read blueprints, measure with a tape, join pieces using a staple gun, and ensure accuracy while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig per design measurements.
• Join wood components with staple gun.
• Measure dimensions to ensure build accuracy and quality.
• Place metal connector plates at joints per design instructions.
• Ensure product conforms to safety and quality standards; prepare for packaging/shipping.

Job Summary: The Assembler ensures the safe, precise, and efficient assembly of wood and metal components according to design measurements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig in accordance with design measurements and specifications.
• Join wood component members together utilizing staple gun.
• Accurately measure dimension to ensure accuracy and quality of build in accordance with design.
• Place metal connector plate components at joints for permanent application in accordance with design.
• Ensure the product is constructed accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Send finished product to packaging/shipping section of the production line.
