Job summary

ReCon Management Services seeks an in-plant Technician in Sulphur, LA to support multiple disciplines. The role involves evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques under supervision across purchasing, expediting, NDT, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planners, automation, and controls.

Responsibilities include assisting supervisors, applying standard discipline techniques for minor adaptations, and performing other duties on client projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least sixteen (16) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned.
• Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Walking down and documenting all DULs and trunnions throughout the facility.
• Coordinating rope access crews to visually inspect and verify DUL/Trun installations meet site requirements, including: verification that weep holes are installed at the low point and as close to the parent substrate as practical; verification that the DUL/Trun slope promotes drainage away from the parent substrate.
• Coordinating rope access and mechanical crews to install or relocate weep holes when deficiencies are identified.
• Coordinating rope access and ground-based soft craft crews for scaffolding support, insulation removal and replacement, coating and paint repairs, access to insulated piping systems.
• Coordinating rope access and ground-based NDE crews to perform required inspections.
• Performing borescope inspections through weep holes, or coordinating borescope inspections when additional resources are required.
• Tracking inspection progress, identified deficiencies, corrective actions, and overall project status.
• Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Inspection, and Maintenance teams to prioritize and execute inspection activities.
