Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking a Truck Installation Technician III in Michigan. You will install specialty truck equipment such as service bodies, stake bodies, dump bodies, hitches, and other commercial truck accessories under supervision.

Responsibilities include mounting components, following PPE rules, and collaborating with the Shop Supervisor. The role offers growth through training with other mechanics and a pathway to advanced levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding skills (metal and aluminum).
• 2+ years electrical wiring experience.
• Ability to build schematics.
• Complex hydraulics knowledge a plus.
• Independent troubleshooting ability.
• Operate power hand tools and have basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete installation of specialty truck equipment under supervision.
• Install truck bodies, plows, and other commercial truck accessories.
• Mount hitches, shelves, drawers, ladder racks, mud flaps, etc.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Train with other mechanics as needed.
• Handle other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
