Job summary

Walmart is seeking a dedicated technician in Lewiston, ME to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on transport refrigeration units (TRUs) per OEM procedures. You will diagnose electrical systems, service trailers, and ensure proper function of APU and braking components, aligning with DOT guidelines.

The role requires hands-on experience with TRUs, refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

3 years’ experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair.
EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification is required.
Valid state-issued driver's license and knowledge of DOT rules.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on TRUs according to OEM procedures.
Repair trailer interiors, doors, bulkheads, and accessories; diagnose electrical issues.
Operate TRUs in normal, diagnostic, and service test modes and document results.
Service TRU refrigeration systems including reclaim, leak checks, and recharging.
Maintain tractors/trailers equipment and perform tire, brake, and suspension tasks.
Verify warranty information, enter condition and repair data, and complete work orders.
Follow Walmart policies and DOT guidelines; assist other technicians as needed.
