Job summary

Walmart Transportation seeks a Service Shop Repair Technician in Lewiston, ME to perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and service vehicles. You will document work, process orders, and support warranty activities to ensure first‑time quality.

Position supports DOT compliance, safe shop practices, and accurate maintenance entries. Required/preferred qualifications include tractor/trailer repair experience or technical school certification, plus a valid

Qualifications

• 2 years’ tractor/trailer inspection and repair experience OR a technical school degree/certification
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Brake inspection qualification per FMCSA 396.25
• Vehicle inspection qualification per FMCSA 396.19

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles)
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions
• Conduct minor diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and required paperwork
• Identify warrantable repairs and complete accurate maintenance entries, warranty tags, parts retention, and warranty claims per guidelines
