Job summary

Signature Truck Systems LLC in Clio, MI is seeking a full-time HD truck/trailer technician for first shift, Monday through Friday. Pay starts at $25 per hour with potential increases based on experience and skill.

The role focuses on brakes, suspensions, welding, fabrication, and up-fits on tractors and trailers, with required safety procedures and DOT inspections. You’ll work in a hands-on shop, using MIG/TIG welding, hydraulics, and crane equipment, and you’ll be part of a team within

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy-duty truck or trailer repair experience.
• Air brake and/or heavy-duty suspension experience.
• Your own toolbox and hand tools (tool list provided).
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, and squat throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes (including air brakes), wheel seals, suspensions, and related systems on tractors and trailers.
• Perform maintenance and repair on pressurized transport trailers.
• Weld and fabricate (MIG/TIG) on custom work such as moving axles and adding gates or cabinets.
• Complete DOT inspections and keep accurate service records.
• Run a forklift and overhead crane as part of daily shop work.
• Work on top of trailer tanks and inside tanks when the job calls for it (we train you on the safety procedures)

Good to Know

This is a safety-sensitive role. Offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana) and a criminal background check. Some tasks require a tight-fitting respirator, so you must be clean-shaven where the mask seals to your face. Facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the seal may be OK, case by case. • Reading blueprints and doing shop math
• State certification in heavy-duty trucks (drive train, brakes, electrical, suspension). If you don’t have it yet, you’ll need to get it within 6 months of hire
