Eagle Mark 4 in Northern Indianapolis is seeking a Truck & Trailer Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial trucks, trailers, diesel-powered equipment, and related fleet vehicles in our Northern Indianapolis territory.

The role emphasizes safety, timely maintenance, documentation, and teamwork. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a company-provided van, tech devices, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Truck Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role.
• Experience with diesel engines, air brake systems, suspension systems, electrical troubleshooting, and computer diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret and apply wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and drivetrain issues on trucks and trailers.
• Perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, oil changes, brake services, and component replacements.
• Repair and replace defective parts, lubricate moving components, and troubleshoot electrical systems and wiring issues.
• Inspect used parts and equipment to determine wear and recommend repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Review completed repairs and maintenance findings with managers, communicating any potential safety or operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Provide daily status updates to management and communicate any customer equipment issues or concerns.
