Job summary

Florida Rock & Tank Lines Inc. is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician to service tractor-trailers and other company vehicles. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections as needed. A CDL with HazMat endorsement is preferred, and candidates should have basic computer and diagnostic skills.

You must be able to lift up to 70 lbs (team lift for heavier items) and bring your own tools up to 1/2" drive. Flexibility for overtime and a 40-hour week is expected.

Qualifications

• One year mechanical experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs (team lift for heavier items).
• Basic computer skills; diagnostic skills a plus.
• Knowledge of air brake systems and ABS preferred.
• Ability to perform annual federal inspections on trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tractors and trailers; perform repairs as needed.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on company vehicles.
• Utilize basic tools and perform repairs within capabilities.
• Provide own tools up to 1/2" drive when required.
• Prepare for annual federal inspections on equipment.
