Job summary

Continental is seeking a Retread Technician to inspect casings, analyze results, and take recommended steps to properly repair or rebuild CLT and Medium Truck tires for value to customers and added revenue to BestDrive.

You will run casings through the shearography machine, buff remaining tread, apply new tread, assemble the envelope, install the inner envelope and ensure an airtight seal for curing, and perform vacuum tests as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect casings and analyze results per Conti instructions.
• Run casings through shearography machine and grade results.
• Buff remaining tread and apply new tread per Conti procedures.
• Assemble envelope, install inner envelope, and ensure airtight seal for curing.
• Vacuum test the envelope and repair casings as needed.
• Load curing chamber and set proper curing parameters.
• Inspect casings and communicate with BestDrive sales and fleet personnel.
• Complete necessary paperwork legibly and accurately.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
