Job summary

Ohio Peterbilt in Zanesville (a division of Ohio Machinery Co.) seeks an experienced Technician to diagnose failures and recommend repair solutions on Peterbilt vehicles. You will perform repairs to dealer and factory standards under the Service Supervisor, collaborating with the Service Writer/Advisor and customers.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior technicians, staying updated on EPA, OSHA, and DOT rules, and maintaining a safe, organized shop while delivering quality service with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certificate or diesel/truck repair degree preferred.
• Four to six years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• CDL license recommended; a valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Preferred certifications include MX Engine, Cummins Heavy Duty, Cummins Mid-Range, Allison Transmission, or Eaton Transmission.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Perform repairs precisely and efficiently to dealership and factory standards.
• Work under the supervision of the Service Supervisor and coordinate with the Service Writer/Advisor.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and stay compliant with EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and communicate safety issues promptly.
