Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead the Truck Services team and oversee daily shop operations in Columbia, SC. You will support the Truck Services Manager, ensure safety standards, and drive service quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in management preferred.
• 3+ years in a truck service or automotive environment, supervisory role preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial performance metrics (P&L).
• Proficient with service tracking and inventory software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellence in customer service.
• Monitor workflow and provide support in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained properly and all safety standards are followed.
• Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all services are performed timely and accurately.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and provide solutions promptly.
• Help in achieving financial goals by monitoring expenses and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
• Perform the duties of the Truck Services Manager in their absence.
