Beyond Catering is hiring a truck cashier/scooper for spots at Brookfield Zoo and Shedd Aquarium. You will take orders, process transactions, and help maintain a vibrant, clean service area that delights guests. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a welcoming attitude to visitors.

Starting pay is competitive, with tips included. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, have strong communication skills, and ideally possess prior cashier experience and a food handler’s card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly, written or verbal.
• Cashier experience is advantageous.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and stay on task.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately.

• Wipe down counters between customers.
• Restock ice cream flavors in display tubs.
• Restock bowls, cones, behind the counter.

Truck cashier/scooper | Event/Roaming Trucks, Brookfield Zoo and Shedd Aquarium

At every stop, we set colorful chairs, cones, music – and of course, our ice cream truck! Having the right set up and creating the right environment helps create unforgettable moments for our communities, filled with joy, fun and of course, RAINBOW CONES!

Pay Range:

Starting at $15/hour + TIPS, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Order taking
• Communicate with the team for special orders or any allergies
• Wiping down counters
• Restock ice cream flavors in display tubs.
• Restock bowls, cones, behind the counter
• Restock napkins and spoons for customers
• Wipe down surfaces in between customers
• Assist with other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate, whether written or verbally
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Current food handler’s card preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Prior cashier experience a plus
• Flexibility of hours
• Customer service skills
• Reliable Transportation is a must
