Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Used Truck Salesperson to join our dynamic team in Strafford, MO. This role focuses on generating new customers and developing existing accounts to increase truck sales while meeting the dealership's goals.

The position emphasizes selling heavy- and medium-duty trucks, building client relationships, and coordinating with our dealer network across multiple states. This safety-sensitive role offers growth opportunities and career development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• College degree or certificate from trade school preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contacting prospective customers and assigned accounts while entering CRM data.
• Understanding and meeting customer needs while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Identify trucks for purchase for resale.
• Promote and sell heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks.
• Write sales orders, secure deposits and process paperwork per dealership policies.
• Develop and present sales/purchasing proposals to clients.
• Maintain lot organization and take photos of equipment.
• Coordinate service write-ups and track units through the shop process.
• Start trucks each week.
• Maintain awareness of used truck inventory.
• Promote benefits to our dealer network across multiple states.
• Assist other locations with deals if trucks are on your lot.
• Attend training workshops and travel for training if required by management.
• Know basic equipment fundamentals and specs of all brand trucks, especially Peterbilt.

Responsibilities:

• Contacting prospective customers and assigned accounts while putting them into the CRM.
• Understanding and meeting the customers' needs, while maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Find the trucks that make the most sense for TLG to purchase for resale.
• Promoting and selling heavy duty and medium duty trucks.
• Writing sales orders, securing deposits and processing paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
• Developing and presenting sales/purchasing proposals to clients.
• Lot arrangement, truck check in, pictures of the equipment.
• Write trucks up for service and follow the unit through the shop to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner.
• Starting of trucks each week.
• Keep informed on the used truck inventory.
• Promote the benefits TLG can provide with our dealer network across several states.
• Work with other locations in regard to assisting them with their deals if the truck is on your lot.
• Other duties that are assigned by Used Truck Management.
• You are required to know the basic equipment fundamentals & specs of the all brand trucks especially Peterbilt.
• There will be times you may need to attend training workshops online and possibly travel for training workshops which are at the management's discretion.

Qualifications:

• Should possess a High School diploma.
• A college degree or a certificate or degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
