Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to service our latest fleet in City of Industry, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, using provided tools and training programs to grow in a family-oriented team.

Responsibilities include lifts, lubrication, oil changes, tire/brake work, occasional road tests, and following a pre-inspection checklist. A valid driver’s license and team-player attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
