Thatcher Chemical's Henderson, NV plant is seeking a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic for the day shift to maintain heavy tractors and trailers, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The role includes PM inspections, trailer checks, parts tracking, and basic fleet maintenance, with availability for call-outs. Competitive hourly pay of $33-$36, plus Thatcher's profit-sharing and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of maintenance experience.
• Liquid bulk tanker knowledge.
• CDL with TX endorsements preferred.
• English proficiency (read/write/speak) required.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and pass screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM inspections and monthly trailer inspections.
• Repair tractors and trailers; track parts.
• Maintain inventory and basic fleet records.
• Assist with tire and brake replacements; wiring troubleshooting.
• Be available for call-outs.

We are hiring a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic- Day Shift- Chemical Manufacturing for our Henderson, Nevada, plant. $33-$36 an hour

Duties

• P.M. inspections
• Monthly trailer inspections
• Minor to medium repairs on tractors and trailers
• Tracking and ordering parts
• Inventory / Detail oriented
• Basic computer duties
• Be available for call outs
• Tire replacement
• Brake replacement
• troubleshoot & repair wiring issues
• Basic fleet maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Two + years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of liquid bulk tankers (Internal & External Valves, etc.)
• Tanker experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• A CDL with TX Endorsements is preferred, but not necessary.
• Must be able to Speak, Read & Write English proficiently
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
• The ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
