Job summary

Thatcher Co of Nevada Sparks is hiring a Full-Time Driver to operate tractor-trailers and transport chemical products. You will ensure safe loading, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to meet delivery schedules.

-qualified candidates have a CDL A with HazMat/Tanker endorsements, at least 5 years of commercial driving experience, and a clean driving record. Company offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A required.
• HazMat (H), Tanker (N), and/or combination (X) endorsements required.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Experience hauling chemicals or hazardous materials preferred.
• TWIC card may be required depending on route assignments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Driving & Delivery

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, tankers, or other assigned equipment in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, and HazMat regulations.
• Transport hazardous and non-hazardous chemical products to customers, Company facilities, or partner locations.
• Perform safe loading and unloading operations using approved procedures, including pumps, hoses, valves, and fittings.
• Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and electronic logging device (ELD) data.
• Ensure vehicle and trailer are properly placarded and documented before departure.

Safety & Compliance

• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Follow all OSHA, HazMat, PPE, spill prevention, and emergency response procedures.
• Report any equipment issues, defects, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain 100% compliance with Hours of Service (HOS), route restrictions, and chemical transportation requirements.
• Follow strict protocols to prevent product contamination or incompatible loading.

Customer Service & Communication

• Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and operations regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
• Complete delivery paperwork, BOLs, and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Represent the Company with a high level of professionalism and safety awareness at all times.

Operational Support

• Assist with tank washes, residue checks, fittings, and equipment preparation as needed.
• Participate in required company meetings, safety trainings, and certifications.
• Support emergency response and spill containment efforts if trained and required.
• Help maintain tanker cleanliness, hose integrity, and equipment readiness.

Required Qualifications
