Job summary

LTR RIGGING & HAULING in New York, NY is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our busy truck repair and towing shop. As a Truck Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function.

As a Truck Mechanic, you must have an in‑depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for NYS inspections for heavy‑duty trucks, and you should be able to communicate clearly with customers and offer practical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug test/physical.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
• Provide roadside service
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Create repair estimates and timelines
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
