Job summary

Amarr, part of ASSA ABLOY, seeks a Load Planner in Lawrence, KS to create load layouts for trucks, ensuring efficient, safe, and damage-free loading. You will verify layouts, update paperwork, and coordinate with Scheduling and the Door Center to handle non-standard items.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an aptitude for learning and retaining product/policy and procedural knowledge.
• Navigator experience preferred.
• Accuracy in handling large amounts of data proven by a speed and accuracy qualification test.
• Must be able to work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast paced environment.
• Experience producing and using spreadsheets in Excel. Proficiency with Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Produces a quality load layout and ensures legibility.
• Lays out truckloads for safe, accurate, and damage-free loading and unloading.
• Revises layouts as needed and completes layouts within supervisor timelines.
• Provides feedback to Scheduling when products may not fit in the truck as scheduled.
• Performs updates to layouts and shipping paperwork, including pick slips.
• Communicates with the Door Center for non-standard loading requirements.
• Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Verifies Load Builder Report, Load Builder and Load Log match.
