Job Objective

To support the efficient operation of the warehouse and transportation services by maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment and assisting company truck drivers with the delivery and pick-up of materials. This position reports to Transportation Outlet Manager or Director of Transportation, Facilities and Salvage Operations who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Unload cages and sort materials for proper storage.
• Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Prepare salvage materials accurately for shipment.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading during delivery routes and at the facility.
• Accompany drivers to delivery and pick-up locations; handle materials manually or with equipment.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor during customer interactions.
• Ensure necessary materials and equipment are available for route service.
• Follow the direction of the truck driver while on delivery routes.
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.

• Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to use floor scales, hand cart, and other standard equipment.
